As the Principal Backend Software Engineer, you’ll be a hands-on builder working on LLM-powered applications. You’ll be working on the system that makes that happen—from spinning up sandboxes to run untrusted code, to deployment pipelines, to monitoring and API design.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop back-end services and models to manage code generation, cloud workflows, monitors, and customer workloads.
- Work with cloud functions using Lambda and DynamoDB.
- Develop distributed workflow systems.
- Design and develop APIs.
- Write high-performance, reliable, testable, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools and processes to accelerate development.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Proven expertise in building and scaling back-end applications.
- Experience with functions-as-a-service (FaaS) architectures (serverless/Lambda).
- NoSQL database experience on DynamoDB (preferred), MongoDB, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining high-complexity web apps in production.
- Experience with Go programming language.
- Strong familiarity with AWS infrastructure services including CloudFront, SAM, CodePipeline, API Gateway, etc.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Bonus: Experience working with LLMs.
- Bonus: Experience with TypeScript and Python.
